Aeroroutes reports a change in operations for flight Korean Air KE73 from Seoul (ICN) to Toronto (YYZ). Starting the 1st of February 2026, the Korean flag carrier will operate the route with the Airbus A350-900 instead of the Boeing 777-300ER.

Korean Air & the A350-900

The Korean Air A350-900 is a relatively new member of the airline’s fleet, having joined the ranks of the Seoul-based company only earlier this year, in January, long after the airline finalized an order for 6 of them and 27 of the bigger variant, the A350-1000. The airline has initially operated them around the East Asian region to closer destinations like Osaka (KIX) and Taipei (TPE), but they will very soon be used for long-haul flights to Madrid (MAD) and Rome (FCO) starting this September.

A few months later, in February, the aircraft will finally be used for flights to North America, commencing with Toronto (YYZ) at a daily frequency for flight KE73/74. It is unclear as of now if it will be used on other routes on the continent or even to launch new ones.

KE73 leaves Seoul-Incheon at 10:20AM in the morning and arrives in Canada at 10:20AM. KE74, the return flight, leaves Toronto-Pearson at 11:40AM and arrives in South Korea at 16:45+1 in the afternoon.

The flight is also sold by Westjet as part of a codeshare agreement, as flights WS6063/6064.
